Does this qualify as a project or even instruction
Basically- find a pattern for a renaissance costume (here are a couple to consider), buy all of the stuff, and make it. Oh by the way, a finer needle is helpful for sewing lace. No mention of cost, or time required, etc. if I have the skill to do this the “project” is useless. If I don’t have the skill, well, it’s still useless. If Joanne is paying someone to come up with “projects” I’d love to apply for that job.

Crone Dancer response
Crone Dancer, metal grommets are not accurate. All lacing holes through the 1900s were edged with thread.

Are you serious?
After checking the notions required for the pattern, I saw that there were no grommets listed to lace the dress. It's not accurate, and therefore unacceptable for many venues. It is also needlessly more difficult than necessary.
