SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
DIRECTIONS:
JOANN HACKS:
- 1 bag of candy corn
- 1 silicone coaster mold kit from Color Pour
- Acrylic gloss black paint
- Small paintbrush
- Color Pour resin & hardener
- 2 Small mixing cups
- Heat gun
- Toothpick
- Flat working surface with plastic or foil covering
DIRECTIONS:
- Follow the instructions on the resin box to mix the resin. Mix up a small batch of resin, enough to cover the bottom of the molds 1/8" deep.
- Pour the resin into the coaster about half full. Use the heat gun to remove any bubbles.
- Place the candy corn into the resin. Use the toothpick to move objects around to the placement of your liking. Use the heat gun to remove any bubbles. Let it harden at least 5 hours. Pour more resin on top of the current dry resin to reach the top lip of the mold. Again, use the heat gun to remove any bubbles.
JOANN HACKS:
- Do not use the heat gun too close to the resin, because you don't want to cook it. Wave the gun over the mold to push the bubbles to the edge where they will pop.
- Be patient while you are watching the bubbles rise in the resin. Use a pin to pull the bubbles out from the edges of the candy corn.
