Resin Stain Glass Hearts

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Acrylic heart shapes
• Shell pieces
• Transparent dyes
• UV Resin
• LED Dryer Lamp
• Resin tools - tweezers, pouring cups, stir stick, protective gloves, drop cloth, silicon mat

DIRECTIONS:

1. Place acrylic heart shapes on a silicon mat work surface. Use a drop cloth as well to protect your work area, and wear protective gloves.
2. Put a very thin layer of UV resin along the perimeters in each section of the heart shapes to seal the base so the different colored dyes don't bleed through to other sections.
3. Use the LED dryer lamp to dry the layer of clear resin for about 90 seconds.
4. In small pouring cups, mix UV resin and transparent dyes to create different colors for the different sections of the stained glass heart shape. Add shell pieces to random sections as desired and use tweezers to place the shells.
5. Pour the different colors of resin into each section of the heart shapes. Use the LED dryer lamp to dry the resin for about 90 seconds or more. Allow the heart shape to sit for about an hour or so before removing from the silicon mat.
