Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy pattern for anyone. I'm a beginner! I got this pattern about 9 months ago, but I didn't buy the renewal yarn. So I was gifted some yarn and made it out of that. I don't have a photo because I gave it away. I gave the rating a 4 because the strap part. It doesn't look very uniform when you sew it in. One side is square, but the other side is rounded. I had fun making the bag and found it very relaxing while completing it. The stitches are basic. Nothing fancy, but looks wonderful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute bag/ confusing instructions. I finished round 1&2 easily. However, round three is confusing me. More pictures and/or a video would be great. Or a place we can get help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved making this!! I made this tote twice! I was confused at first about making both sides at the same time, but I figured it out pretty quickly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Video I think a video of the first part of this bag would have been helpful, especially for those who are just learning the terminology of crochet.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Renewal Yarn Unavailable It seems the recommended Renewal Yarn has been discontinued; what a shame. Thank you to those reviewers who suggested the Lily yarn as a suitable substitute!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adorable bag! This project is quick and easy, but the pattern instructions may not be clear to less experienced crocheters. For those who are confused about where to continue after completing the initial 56 DC across the chain on Round 1, "rotate" means to keep the same side of the project facing you and spin it (like you would turn a dial) so that the DC stitches you just completed are now at the bottom and the base chain is at the top -- now you will do 56 DC into this "side" of the base chain. In other words, the base chain ends up with 112 DC stitches in it (56 DC on the "top" side of the chain, and then 56 DC on the "bottom" side of the chain after you rotate it). Hope this helps novices who are struggling with the pattern. Keep going! You will love the result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Using cotton yarn makes a bag that won't stretch o Using the yarn they suggest is going to make a bag that will stretch out. Cotton yarn is the best. You can put groceries in it and the bag won't stretch out. Unless you are going to put something heavy in it.
