Reusable Utensil Roll

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1/4yd grey linen
  • 1/4yd yellow linen
  • 2 buttons
  • 1yd cording
  • Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:

    Note: 1/2" seam allowance throughout.
  1. Cut one 8"x 27" each from the grey and yellow linen.
  2. Using a cup, place on one end of rectangle to round off the two ends.
  3. With RST stitch grey and yellow linen leaving and opening for turning.
  4. Turn and press.
  5. Top stitch across bottom straight edge.
  6. Fold bottom up 7" and pin in place.
  7. Top stitch 1/4" from edge all the way around utensil roll.
  8. Mark center of pocket, and stitch for slot for utensil.
  9. Place a mark 1 1/2" on both sides of center and stitch to form slots for utensils.
  10. Fold top flap down and fold sides into center.
  11. Mark placement for buttons on edge.
  12. Wrap cord around buttons for closure.
