  • Size U.S. 7 (4.5 mm) Circular Knitting Needle 16" Long
  • Set of 4 size U.S. 7 (4.5 mm) Double-Pointed Knitting Needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)
  • Stitch Marker

  • SIZE: One size to fit adult.
  • GAUGE: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4" in stocking stitch.

NOTES:
Hat is knit to a tighter-than average gauge. Please check gauge to ensure satisfactory results.
To begin working with the O'Go format, carefully cut plastic tie where the ends of the O'Go meet.
Pull tie to remove.
With circular needle, cast on 84 sts.
Join in rnd. PM for beg of rnd.
1st rnd: *K1. P1. Rep from * around. Rep last rnd (K1. P1) ribbing until work from beg measures 10".

1st rnd: *(K1. P1) twice. ssk. K1. K2tog. P1. K1. P1. Rep from * around. 70 sts.
2nd to 6th rnds: *(K1. P1) twice. K3. P1. K1. P1. Rep from * around.
7th rnd: *(K1. P1) twice. Center dec. P1. K1. P1. 56 sts.
8th to 12th rnds: *K1. P1. Rep from * around.
13th rnd: *K1. P1. ssk. K1. K2tog. P1. Rep from * around. 42 sts.
14th to 16th rnds: *K1. P1. K3. P1. Rep from * around. 17th rnd: *K1. P1. Center dec. P1. Rep from * around. 28 sts.
18th rnd: *K1. P1. Rep from * around. 19th rnd: *K1. Center dec. Rep from * around. 14 sts. 20th rnd: *K2tog. Rep from * around. 7 sts. Break yarn, leaving a long end. Draw end through rem sts and fasten securely.
