SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Wire cutters
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun
  • Hot glue
  • Floral picks: Frosted Berry Pinecone Greenery (2) & Pine Berry (2)
  • Ribbon 1 1/2"x 21', Double Face, Red (1)
  • Holiday ribbon 4"x 40', wire edge, Red & Black (1)
  • 18" Burlap-wrapped wreath (1)
  • Pins or tape

DIRECTIONS:

    Wrap wreath
  1. Hot glue one end of 4" ribbon to back of wreath with the edges at the same angle as the burlap on the wreath. Spiral the ribbon around the wreath adding hot glue to the back of each spiral. To keep the spiral consistent, note the blocks of squares on the check. The taper is from three squares on the inside of the wreath to four squares on the outside of the wreath. Finish the spiral on the back of the wreath. This will be the bottom center of the wreath.

  2. Add floral
  3. Cut Frosted Berry Pine cone greenery to 10 stems each. Push greenery leaves toward the tips. Trim stems to 1" below the bottom stems.
  4. Cut Pine Berry to: 3 pine, 2 berries, 2 frosted branches (cut 1/2 way down length) each.
  5. Locate half of Frosted Berry Pinecone Greenery on 1/2 of wreath. Spray outward from center location just left of bottom center of wreath (see photo). Start gluing at the outermost stems of spray. Fill from side to side. Place glue onto ribbon and press stems to attach. Place Pine Berry parts mixed into greenery and glue. Use the second Frosted Berry Pinecone Greenery as fill. Cut off small sections of greenery to place into vacancies.
  6. Place pins or tape to locate the top center of the wreath.
  7. Cut one 3' length of 1 1/2" red ribbon. On the back of the wreath, measure 5" away from center top of wreath to mark the location of the first side of the hanger. Wrap the end of the ribbon around the location flattening out the wrap on the front of the wreath. Secure the ribbon with a square knot at the back of the wreath. Hot glue this knot in place. Pull up on the loose end of the ribbon above the center point of the wreath to determine the height of the hanger. Knot the second side of the ribbon same as the first.
  8. Shake the wreath to make sure that all floral is well attached.

Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:

  • When adding the hot glue to the back of the check ribbon immediately wipe off any excess that may have bled through the ribbon. This will keep the back of the wreath clean.
