- Bernat® Blanket™ Yarn Skein, Pink (3)
- US Size P/15 Crochet Hook
- MEASUREMENTS: 62" x 64"
DIRECTIONS:
With pink yarn, very loosely Ch 87.Row 1: 1 dc into 4th ch from the hook. *1 dc in the next 3 chs, dc2tog over next 2 chs twice, 1 dc into next 3chs, 2 dcs into each of the next 2 chs. Rep from * to end, ending the last rep with 2dc into last ch. Turn your work.
From here out, work one row of red, one row of pink until the blanket is desired size.
Row 2: Ch 3, 1 dc into the that same stitch * 1 dc into next 3 dcs, dc2tog over next 2 dcs twice, 1 dc into next 3 dcs, 2 dcs into each of the next 2 dcs. Rep from *, ending the last rep with 2dcs into the 3rd ch of turning chain of previous row.
Repeat Row 2 until blanket is desired length, finishing with a pink row.

Yarn Over, Insert hook through stitch to be worked, yarn over, draw back through stitch, now there are 3 loops on hook, yarn over, draw back through first 2 loops only, yarn over.
Insert hook in next stitch, yarn over, draw back through stitch, now there are 4 loops on hook, yarn over, draw back through first 2 loops only, yarn over, draw back through last 3 loops on hook. Now you have completed a DC2TOG.

Need better instructions
I get that's it says for an intermediate. But details like knowing what "dc2tog" and other abbreviated terms should be spelled out in a legend somewhere too.
