Great color saturationI got the navy blue to dye a light colored denim jacket that I had and it turned out amazing! The color saturation was really great and an even consistency throughout.

Poor qualityI bought this dye in black and followed the instructions on this and all I can say is I am disappointed, the color does not stick to the clothes at all. Also noticed that it does release small red dots amongst the clothes . The green did work but my shirts have small red dots.

Amazing!Bought this to help repair an upholstered sun damaged chair. The chair was yellow gold colored originally ivory. I have been working on this chair for several weeks and until I found this product I was not having a lot of success. Too bad it was one of the last things I tried I could have saved a lot of time and energy!

I have a couple old suede coats I wanted to mess around with. I used the Rit color remover on a hot pink coat and it stripped it clean. I then used a tub of hot water in my bath tub and soaked the coat in Rit light pink, "stirring" it often. Coat turned out awesome! Rit works wonders on suede!

Decent DyeI purchased RIT dye in Navy Blue because Dylon brand is only available in the washing machine package, and I always dye using the bucket method. This was my first time using RIT and I was dying a Royal blue skirt to a dark Navy. The dye is a little bit more time consuming and not as user friendly to mix up as Dylon is. Also, Dylon does not streak the way the RIT dye did. My skirt still has odd streaking where parts of it are dark Navy, and then in the same spot some parts are dull Royal blue. I was not expecting that as I left the skirt to absorb the dye for almost two hours. The Navy blue took a very long time to rinse clear, and if you are dying in a porcealin tub, by all means PLEASE have a bucket of bleach nearby to scrub out the dark residue that the dye will leave behind. I have used Dylon velvet black and it did not stain like RIT. I still have to dye my skirt again because the streaking is so bad. I did not have any problems with the color turning out purple like some other reviewers have said, but that's likely because my skirt was already blue to begin with. If I was trying to dye it to Navy from cream or a light yellow I would have likely had that issue. I will stick to Dylon from now on.

Kelly Color is greatI like the granular dye to color my clothes pins, this color is very rich and not as dark, so it looks like a true green. The color turned quickly for my art projects and very uniformed too. [see attached].

DecentThis fabric dye is decent. The only issue is that I can't seem to get any of the darker colors such as black or purple to look like a black and purple. I read the instructions and did what it told me to do but I always have to use more than one box. I don't dye large amounts of fabric either

Not good for tie dyingWe bought this dye to tie dye some shirts for a group, and first the dye didn't dissolve properlly even after following all the directions. Then after letting the dyed shirts sit for over a day, we rinsed and washed them but the dye came out/ran with the other color we used. I would not recomend this dye at all

Rit Dye is WonderfulI highly recomend Rit Dye. I dyed slipcovers for a full size sofa, love seat, club chair and otterman. It was very faded denim blue almost shades of white, I used royal blue powder and the washer machine method and they now look brandnew! Great stuff!!!

Not good for overall colorI tried to use the powder dye using the washing machine method on a pair of linen pants. The color looked like it had come out perfect at first but it turned out it was horribly streaked! The tye dye effect may be fun for some modern wear but I was trying to dye a pair of pants for re-enactment purposes. I ended up using the liquid which worked beautifully.

Color Me DelightedI've used dozens of different colors on an array of fabrics. Many times I've had wonderful results. Sometimes, less than wonderful. Sometimes streaking and a tie-dye effect, which I'm not necessarily going for. But these dyes offer inexpensive, reliable, and delightful ways to change one's wardrobe--without leaving the house!

Easy and fun to useI've had great success with Ritt dyes. As long as you dye 2 yards or less with one packet the color is exact. I recommend (as does the package dirctions) using 2 packs for 3 yards or more, especially for dark colors. They also don't stain the washing machine.
