How To Get It
Rit Color Remover makes it possible to remove the existing color from yet-to-be dyed fabric, giving you a dye-ready canvas for spectacular results and true color. It's also the perfect solution for removing  dye stains (washed by mistake with colored items) and even food stains (such as fruit juice, ketchup and tea) from whites. Unlike traditional bleach, which contains chlorine that can damage fabric, Rit Color Remover is chlorine-free so that you can safely dye fabric after removing its color. Perfect for dye projects where you want to completely change the color of the fabric or as a pre-treatment for faded, discolored and stained fabric. It can even be used to remove dye from fabric dyed incorrectly. Works best on cotton, linen, wool, rayon and ramie.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! This product saved My favorite white cardigan and J Crew white long sleeve shirt that I had inadvertently washed With a brand new teal colored sweatshirt. They were both a very light green when they came out of the washer. I was ready to throw them away. I then purchased this Ritz die remover from Joann's and followed the boil in a pan directions and they are completely white now. I am quite pleased and surprised. I didn't believe anything could save these two items of clothing

Rated 1 out of 5 by from doesn't do what it says I dyed some items black with Rit and washed them SEVERAL times. Then I washed one of the items with a mostly-white duvet color that had blocks of color on it, and the black ran all over the duvet cover. I bought this to get the black dye runoff out of my duvet cover. Pretty much immediately upon hitting the water, this stuff started stripping the original blue color blocks off the duvet cover, despite the packaging saying it can't remove original print from fabric and doesn't work very well on blue. My overall experience with Rit products has been bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Removed sharpie pen off white shirt I used the stovetop method. I accidentally got a large sharpie pen stain in the washer on a 75%polyster 25%cotton chef coat. As soon as I dipped the stain into the boiling water with this dye remover in it completely disappeared.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked like a charm I bought some RIT dye and dyed a white skirt, but I didn’t like the color at all, and was upset that I would probably have to buy another one. Instead, I went to the store and I bought this color correction box. I used the stove top method and the color completely disappeared from the skirt within seconds. It was a bit like magic. I am not sure how this would work on a shirt that was already bought with color, but if you accidentally messed something up while you’re dyeing it, you can use this to probably get it out. It really saved the day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked like magic! I'm so happy I bought this stuff. I accidentally washed a pink sticky note in the back pocket of my only pair of white jeans. Luckily I found it before they got put into the drier but it had stained the whole entire pocket bright pink. I kept it wet, used oxy clean spray, chlorine free and chlorine bleach and they helped a little but the jeans were still very pink. I added one packet of this stuff to an extra small, hot water washing load and let the jeans sit for 20 mins then I ran the load. It worked perfectly! I washed them with soap like normal after and now I can wear my jeans again! Sooo pleased

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for bleach projects! Used this as a JOANN influencer partner and loved it. Not as stinky as normal bleach and worked well for a cool reverse tie dye effect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great at fixing dye transfer on whites I had a few items of clothing that were discolored from being washed with other clothes that bled dye onto them. One was a pair of white jeans that had turned yellow. The other was a white graphic T-shirt with pink dye spots. I prepared the Rit powder on the stovetop and only used half a packet. I soaked the white pants in the mixture for several minutes, then removed them and used the same water to soak the T-shirt. The dye disappeared almost instantly. It worked on both garments very well, removing the discoloration without damaging the print on the shirt. There was just one issue. After rinsing and washing both garments, they seemed to have stretched out and lost their elasticity. I am not sure if this was caused by using too-hot water, or if it was the chemicals in the Rit, but I'd use with caution on garments with Spandex.
