How To Get It
The Wrights Polyester Roman Shade Tube Tape is a specialty tape used for window treatments. It is an elegant way to dress up windows and is applied on the horizontal edge of the window instead of the vertical edge. Line the stitching and shade tape in the direction of the folds, enabling reinforced and stable pleats. Insert dowels to give your shades a nice crisp finish.

Won't buy again
This tape is made of 99% polyester and 1% nylon and puckered when I ironed it before even applying. After sewing in several rows, I tore it out and went back to plastic rings. It's the poly/nylon blend that's the problem - not the country of origin. This came from India. The softest sheets I have ever had came from Pakistan. The clerk at JoAnn agreed with me when I returned it that it is hard to work with.

It's a great product. However, if you do not preshrink the tape with a very hot steam iron and a pressing cloth, when you sew it on the blind, and then iron the blind before hanging it in the window, the tape will shrink at the last ironing of the blind, and your beautiful blind that you spent so much time sewing is now a puckered mess!

Quality issues
I've bought this product many times in my local Jo-Ann store and noticed the price online was a little cheaper. I purchased it online and noticed the quality was very poor. The tape when layed out did not lay straight. After some investigation and talking to an employee at the store I noticed that the stores tape is made in the USA while online store sent me tape made in Pakistan. I would almost rather buy it in the store because it seems to be a heavier and sturdier weight. I'd rather buy products made in the USA as well. Why can't Joanns just sell the same product in store and online?

Best thing since...
I have made a lot of Roman shades, and this is the BEST product ever! It takes care of carrying the dowels AND guiding the cords, and I never want to make Roman shades without it! I JUST NEED MORE, and soon! I have clinets waiting!

Roman Shade Tube Tape
I am a self taught sewer/quilter. I used this product to make Roman Shades for my kitchen and I succeeded! This tape is so easy to use and work with! Others must agree, because now that I need more I can't find it in the store or online!
