Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slow to heat Slow to heat and produce steam. I do like the weight of the iron.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works fine The first time I used this iron, I carefully read the instruction manual which only confused me. It said the pilot light would go off when the iron had heated, but I could not see a pilot light as indicated in the drawing. It also mentioned that the auto-off light would blink when that mode went into operation, but the light was on from the moment I plugged the iron into the outlet. I was sure something was wrong with the iron but gave it another try the next day and finally saw a pilot light dimly glowing through the plastic below the handle if I leaned over and looked at the iron from the side. I then lay the iron on its side and after 30 seconds the auto-off light began to blink as it is supposed to do when that function is activated. So, I then concluded that the iron is fine and the instructions were just not totally clear as to the location of the pilot light and regarding the auto-off light being on at all times but then blinking when activated. The iron has a nice weight and seems solidly built despite being made in China. I think it is steaming, but I can't really see it working, so am using the burst of steam button a lot. It balances very well on its heel which makes me happy since irons have fallen off of my ironing board in the past.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not made in Germany Unlike the photo, this is iron no longer made in Germany. It says "Made in China". The iron works (heats up) and steams well, but every single time I tip it from the upright position to flat it spews water from the spray hole. I had water all over my floor. I will return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect iron After a lot ( a lot!) of online research, I chose this iron; then began the task of finding it for purchase. I was surprised that I found it at Joann--easily ordered it online and received it after about 1 week. The weather was bad (icy) and created a 2 day delay. However, the tracking system kept me apprised of the iron's whereabouts and delivery. The iron is perfect. I replaces a 20+ year old Rowenta iron which has done its duty honorably. (I iron everythng including sheets) So I had to have another Rowenta. I specifically chose this iron beause it was made in Germany like my old iron and for its weight (3lbs) and abundance of steam holes (how do they count them?.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best! I worked at GE iron plant in Ontario California. They were great irons until the production was moved to Mexico. I’ve owned a Rowenta for many years. It still works, only a little plastic piece broke near the steam adjustment lever. Didn’t hurt the iron from working. Gave it to my son. Bought us a new one. I like the Decalcification function.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Check details I have owned many of these Rowenta irons, and by far the made in Germany ones last the longest however, this particular iron, though it says, made in Germany in the photos the in-store and delivered product is not make sure you check before purchasing. Makes a difference. Not represented accurately..
