SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 1/2yd satin
- 1/2yd lace overlay
- 1/2yd lining
- 1 1/2yd heavyweight sew-in interfacing
- 1pk magnetic closures
- Basic sewing supplies
DIRECTIONS:

NOTE: Trim interfacing after stitching to remove some of the bulky seam.
- Cut (2) 8 1/2"x 12" wide from satin, lace and lining (for front and back of purse).
- Cut (1) 7 1/2"x 10 1/2" wide from satin, lace and lining (for flap).
- Cut (4) 8 1/2"x 12" wide from interfacing.
- Cut (2) 7 1/2"x 10 1/2" wide from interfacing.
- Layer lace over satin and place interfacing behind satin, baste.
- Repeat for purse back.
- On front of purse mark 3" down from top center and insert one piece of magnetic closure.
- With RST, stitch front to back along sides and bottom.
- To make the box corner: fold the bottom seam to meet the side seam and stitch across triangle 1" from point end.
- Trim seams, turn and lightly press.
- Layer the lace over the satin and place interfacing in back, baste.
- Baste interfacing to back of lining.
- Center and pin the lining to back of bag and fold to front.
- Mark the spot for the magnetic closure to line up with the front closure.
- Remove the flap and insert the magnetic closure at mark on lining.
- With RST, sew lining to satin and lace flap on three sides leaving one long edge open.
- Turn and press.
- With RST, center flap to back of purse, sew in place using a 1/2" seam.
- Baste the interfacing to the front and back of purse lining.
- With RST, stitch the front and back lining together along both sides and bottom, leaving an opening at bottom for turning.
- Place lining with RST over purse and flap and stitch around top using a 1/2" seam.
- Turn through opening.
- Stitch opening closed and insert lining into bag. Press.
- Pin around top of purse and top stitch 1/4" from edge.
