- McCall's 7962
- 11" of satin fabric for bag
- 11" of lining
- 1 pkg. SF101 Shape-flex fusible interfacing
- 1 magnetic snap
- 1" adjustable slide buckle

DIRECTIONS:
- Seams are 3/8" unless noted.
- Cut two 8"x 5 1/2" squares out of fabric, lining and fusible interfacing, rounding two bottom corners.
- Cut two 7 1/2"x 3" out of fabric, and fusible for front flap.
- Cut one 2 1/4"x 16" out of fabric, lining and fusible for sides.
- Cut two strips long x 2 3/4" plus fusible for purse belt strap.
- Press fusible interfacing to all fabrics.
- Mark female magnetic snap in the center and 1 1/2" down to the front purse. Follow instruction on package for insertion. Mark a notch for belt insertion on the front 1" down on each side.
- Mark male magnetic snap 1 1/4" from the bottom on one side of flap. Follow instructions for insertion.
- Belt strap: Fold strap in half, turn under seam allowances (pressing the 1/4" seam under and fold before sewing would be helpful). Stitch strap closed. Hem one edge on each strip with a turn and turn hem.
- Insert other edge of strap into notch side to the front.
- Sew satin sides starting at the top side of front and back, clipping in every 1/4" to go around the curves.
- Sew both flaps right sides together, turn, press. Stitch flap top closed.
- Sew flap to the back of purse.
- Sew lining sides to front and back.
- Sew lining to the back and sides of satin, leaving the opening at the front. Turn purse so that the lining is inside, top stitch closed at the front. Press. Attach adjustable slide buckle to strap, see instruction on package.
