How To Get It
The Schmetz Extra Wide Universal Twin Needle is just what you need for your zig-zag machines that thread front to back. This pack contains one extra-wide twin needle with a needle distance of 6.0 mm. Two universal needles are mounted on a shank to stitch two rows simultaneously. You can also use it to sew decorative top stitch seams in one or two colors. It is compatible with a variety of threads and can be used on different fabrics.

Doesn’t work for Brothers machines
Right needle rubs against the back of metal base plate of machine regardless of how you position the needle setting left/right. Not a good fit for Brothers machines.

Beautiful hems
First off, take note that there is a wide and narrow twin needle. This effects the look you're goimg for. Other than that, I absolutely love using my twin needles because of the beautiful hemming I can do on garments. They work great on both knit and cotton.

Schmetz twin needles
I use the twin needles often now to hem knits and on some denim clothes that need the double row of top stitching.
As long as you have your top tension loose enough, you should not have the tunneling of the stitching
