The Schmetz Extra Wide Universal Twin Needle is just what you need for your zig-zag machines that thread front to back. This pack contains one extra-wide twin needle with a needle distance of 6.0 mm. Two universal needles are mounted on a shank to stitch two rows simultaneously. You can also use it to sew decorative top stitch seams in one or two colors. It is compatible with a variety of threads and can be used on different fabrics.

Other than that, I absolutely love using my twin needles because of the beautiful hemming I can do on garments. They work great on both knit and cotton.
