- This project makes four 2.5"x 2.5" coaster designs. You can customize your project size & saying by clicking the "customize" button in the bottom right of the project screen. Hit "Make It" to make the project as is.
- Cut & Weed
- Add black Infusible Ink to the mat.
- In Design Space, select and size your design to fit on your coaster blank. Be sure to Mirror your design.
- Select "Browse all Materials", then Infusible Ink Transfer Sheet. If using a Cricut Explore™ machine, turn Smart Set Dial to "Custom" first.
- Load mat and blade into machine, then press flashing "Go" button.
- Remove cut design from mat and trim unused area of sheet.
- Repeat with pink on mat 2, yellow on mat 3, sky blue on mat 4 and true blue on mat 5.
- Gently roll cut design so cut lines separate and are more visible. "Cracking" the cut this way makes it easier to remove excess paper from in and around your design.
- Use your fingers or tweezers to carefully remove the negative pieces from in and around your design, leaving design on liner.
- Trim clear liner so it does not extend beyond Cricut EasyPress™ heat plate.
- Set Design
- Leave the largest shape on its liner.
- Lift the smaller pieces from their liners and affix them to the liner with your largest shape, fitting them in and around the largest shape as desired for your design. Start from the outside and work your way in.
- Trim clear liner so it does not extend beyond Cricut EasyPress™ heat plate.
- Apply
- Tip: Now is a good time to prep your Cricut EasyPress™. For precise temp, time, and pressure settings for your project, always refer to the Cricut EasyPress Heat Transfer Guide. For this project, set Cricut EasyPress™ 2 to 400°F (205°C) and 240 seconds. For original Cricut EasyPress™ settings, refer to Cricut EasyPress Heat Transfer Guide.
- Use a lint-free cloth to remove any debris from coaster.
- Cover Cricut EasyPress™ Mat with cardstock to protect it from unwanted transfer.
- Place design facedown on coaster with clear liner on top.
- Flip coaster so bottom is facing up (top of coaster with attached design will rest against cardstock and mat). Cover the coaster with butcher paper. (included in sampler)
- Tip: If you are using a larger Cricut EasyPress™, you can transfer to multiple coasters at the same time.
- When beep sounds, slowly lift press. Try not to move the stack, including butcher paper.
- CAUTION: Coaster will be very hot. Let cool completely before handling. Then slowly remove the butcher paper and liner.
- Important: If design separates from liner and remains on blank, remove with tweezers. Do not remove using your fingers. This could cause an unwanted effect like ghosting or marbling.
- Tip: Never reuse butcher paper for another project!
