SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Roll of Plain Paper
- Scrap Piece of Cardboard or Old Gift Card
- Acrylic Paint
- Paper Plate
- Paper Towels and Water for Clean Up
- Masking Tape
- Scissors
DIRECTIONS:
- Roll out the paper onto your work surface and tape down the corners if needed to prevent rolling.
- Add paint to the paper plate.
- Cut a piece of cardboard a couple inches wide to use to scrap the paint, you can use an old gift card or anything similar with a straight edge to scrap the paint.
- Gather paint along the flat edge and scrape it across the paper. The more paint you pick up the more opaque and farther the streak will go.
- Allow the paint to fully dry before wrapping your present.
JOANN HACKS:
- Play with the amount of paint you use and the pressure applied when scrapping to get different effects in your finished design.
- You can add notches to your cardboard to create simple lines and designs in your streaks too.
- Do not over saturate the paper or it may cause your paper to warp or crinkle.
