Beginner Under 1 Hour

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Assorted Fat Quarters Cotton Fabrics
  • Elastic: 8" of 1/4" wide
  • Basic Sewing Supplies

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cutting Fabric Pieces:
    • Cut 1 strip of fabric 4" x 18"

  2. Construction:
    • With right sides together, stitch using a 1/4" seam allowance, starting 1" from the beginning and ending 1" from the end of the long edge of the fabric.
    • Turn the tube halfway so that the right sides are together and match up the short ends of tube.
    • Stitch the short ends using a 1/4" seam allowance.
    • Turn the fabric to the right side through the opening to make a circle and press.
    • Insert the elastic using a safety pin and pin the ends of the elastic together.
    • Sew the elastic together using a zig zag stitch.
    • Stitch the opening close to edge to finish.
