Rated 4 out of 5 by from A solid choice It is very pleasant to touch and embroider with. The uneven weave gives it a lovely visual texture, but it is also quite loosely woven, too. I think it would be good for apparel, but I'd be a little worried about how sheer it is (again: loose weave). It's on the heavier side, but not too heavy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lovely linen Though sometimes Joann's linen can be hit or miss (a bad thing when it is priced higher than most linens elsewhere), this suiting linen is excellent quality. It has a nice, thicker body and even weave. I use it for jackets for 18th century reenacting and it does the job perfectly. It would also be a good weight for skirts or pants because it isn't too thin or wrinkly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Linen I have made several dresses for my daughters from this linen. The quality of the linen is superb.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fabric! I purchased this linen to make floor to ceiling curtains. It looks gorgeous. The only problem is I need 32 yards. I ordered 16 initially to see how it looked, but when I ordered the remainder the following week, the color was way off. I already had a few of the curtains made, so the fabric couldn't be returned. I had the lot number, and when I called I was told there was nothing they could do. I now have to drive around to all Joann stores and try to match the fabric I have. So disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holds up well, very comfortable I bought some of this a couple of years ago to use for medieval clothing for my hobby. The dress I made first has survived nearly 3 years of machine and hand washing, wearing in all kinds of weather (including hot, sunny, and 75% humidity), and week-long camping trips including setup and breakdown. I have worn a crimson item underneath this and the red was not visible through the white fabric, which I also like. It is very comfortable and still looks great! I am back to buy more, for the same use. I am very happy with it, including the weave.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Linen! I found white and cream colors in the apparel section, I plan to use it for pillow covers. It's sort of thick, quality fabric and soft, not rough, so I don't think it'll wrinkle too much. It has a little bit of stretch to it. If you want less wrinkles you may want the linen/rayon blend in home décor. I haven't washed it so I can't rate quality/value yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Tight Weave Linen I do not sew but I purchase this specific linen to cover birch plywood boards to make my own canvases to paint on. It makes a wonderful surface on which to paint landscape and floral paintings.
