Chair Slipcover: McCall's Pattern 4404

 

Round Placemat

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1/2 yd. home decor fabric
  • Sewing machine
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Iron & pressing surface

DIRECTIONS:

  1. 1/2" seam allowance
  2. Cut two 16" circles.
  3. Pin RST.
  4. Stitch, leaving a 3" opening.
  5. Turn RS out and press.
  6. Slip stitch opening.
  7. Top stitch 1/4" from edge.

 

16" Napkins (Makes 4)

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1 yd 55” fabric
  • Sewing machine
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Iron and pressing surface

DIRECTIONS: (all seams 1/2”)

1. Cut four 17” squares.

2. Press under all edges ¼” and ¼” again.

3. Edgestitch and press.

 

16" Button Tufted Pillow

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • ½ yd Home Dec fabric
  • ¼ yd contrasting fabric for cording & buttons
  • 2 yds 6/32 cording
  • Two 1 ½” cover buttons
  • 16” pillow form
  • Sewing machine
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Iron and pressing surface

DIRECTIONS: 1/2 “ seam allowance

1. Contrasting fabric: cut 68” of 1 ¾” wide bias strip.

2. Cover cording.

3. Pillow fabric: Cut two 17” squares.

4. Stitch cording to right side of pillow front.

5. RST place back on top and seam leaving an 8” opening at bottom.

6. Turn and press.

7. Insert pillow form and slip stitch opening.

8. Cover buttons with contrasting fabric.

9. Mark center of front and back.

10. Sew buttons to front and back centers, pulling tight to “tuft”.
