Scarf is worked in one piece with 2 strands of yarn held together and beginning at top edge.
A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number sts. Work back and forth in rows on the circular needle just as if working on straight needles.
Scarf is worked in St st (k on RS, p on WS) with blocks Seed st. Markers are used to keep track of blocks.
Scarf is shaped with decreases.

SCARF:
With 2 strands of yarn held tog, cast on 101 sts.
Knit 1 row.
Set-Up Row (Place Markers - WS): P2tog, p26, place marker (pm), p to last 23 sts, pm, p to last 2 sts, p2tog - you will have 99 sts in this row.
Row 1 (RS): K2tog, k to marker, slip marker (sm), *p1, (k1, p1) twice (for Seed st block), k5 (for St st block); rep from * to next marker, sm, k to last 2 sts, k2tog - 97 sts.
Row 2: P2tog, p to marker, sm, *p5, p1, (k1, p1) twice; rep from * to next marker, sm, p to last 2 sts, p2tog - 95 sts.
Rows 3 and 4: Rep Rows 1 and 2 - 91 sts in Row 4.
Row 5: Rep Row 1 - 89 sts.
Row 6 (Move Markers): P2tog, p to marker, remove marker, p5, pm, p to 5 sts before next marker, pm, p to marker, remove marker, p to last 2 sts, p2tog - 87 sts.
