SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
DIRECTIONS:
Joann Hacks:
- 24-gauge floral wire
- Wire cutters
- Floral tape
- Hot glue gun/glue gun sticks
- 2 light pink Rose garlands with ivy
- 2 Peony bush Fuchsia 20"
- 2 Peony bush Pink 20"
- 2 Rose bush pink/green
- 4 Ranunculus hot pink stems
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut the two Rose garlands equally in half. Connect all 4 pieces of the garland to become one thicker 3' long garland. Connect the pieces by gathering two lengths and twisting and intertwining them together. Use wire to secure the connection and keep them together. Repeat this process with the other two pieces.
- Connect the two garland pieces to form one thicker one. When attaching, one garland should flow in one direction, the other should flow in the opposite direction. Use floral wire to secure the pieces together. Be sure to fluff or adjust the flowers and leaves to lay nicely once the piece has been wired together.
- Remove two fuchsia Peony flowers from the main bush. Tape them together and place them into the garland in desired location. Continue this process for the length of the garland and place in desired locations throughout. Secure the Peonies to the garland using the 24-gauge floral wire and a dab of hot glue as well. Repeat this process with the light pink Peonies.
- Insert the pink rose stems individually into the garland. Use wire and hot glue to attach these as well. Place the tightest Roses in the middle of the garland and the fuller, more open roses should be placed toward the ends. Add the hot pink Ranunculus stems last using hot glue and wire to include them into the garland. Include any green leaves to cover wire or fill in a bare spot. Hot glue to attach greens to the garland. Continue to add floral and greenery to the garland until the desired look and fullness is achieved.
- Turn completed garland upside down and hot glue all along the base to secure all wired pieces.
Joann Hacks:
- When twisting the garland together, be sure to move and adjust the ivy leaves and roses so that they aren’t folded under or too tight and lay nicely together.
- If the ivy falls off during the connecting process, use the glue gun to attach it back onto the garland.
