Item # 302227297P72
Intermediate Varies

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • P-15/11.50mm Hook
  • 1 1/2 Skeins Big Twist Sherpa Yarn

  • GAUGE: 6 hdcs = 4"

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Set up round: Leaving a 6" tail, Loosely Ch 44. Sc 1 into the second chain from the hook, sc 1 into each of the next 42 chs. 43 scs.
  2. Join round: Sc 1 into the first stitch of the row, creating a loop, careful not to twist. You will use the long tail to sew the small gap together at the end. At this time you can measure this loop against your face. If you desire a slightly roomier cowl, undo and chain a few more and follow the set up round with the new numbers.
  3. 1 Hdc in the next stitch. Hdc around in a circle until the piece measures about 15 1/2".
  4. Finish with one round of sc, fasten off and weave in the tail end. Sew the gap at the beginning with the long tail from the initial chain.

JOANN HACKS:

  • Gauge does not need to be exact, as the size of the openings can be made smaller at the end by creating a tighter border.
  • This yarn is very fluffy and it is sometimes hard to see where the stitch is. Take your best guess, as your mistakes will be very well disguised.
