Easy transport
I own a Cricut and a Silhouette and though they're both nice machines, the Silhouette is definitely the better option, software wise. The portrait is super portable. It fits perfectly in an oversized tote, along with my supplies. All of the Silhouette machines are a bit loud, but I still give it 2 thumbs up.

Better than Cricut
I love my silhouette! I use it primarily for vinyl cutting and I use it daily. It has been such a fun little cutting machine. I love how compact it is, and how simple. The program has so many options, it can be intimidating in sure, but more options means more ways to make it your own.

So complicated and frustrating
I recently took upon sticker making as my new hobby and came across a variety of machines that would make the cutting process a lot more easier. Upon doing my research, I thought the silhouette portrait 3 would be the best fit. Boy, was I wrong! I followed every tutorial video, instructions clearly, and saw so many step to step blogs on how to work the machine. Nonetheless, the machine despite every attempt I made to fix the error haunted me and frustrated me up to the point of throwing it against the wall with the words on the screen that said "Registration failed; Registration marks not detected." Ugh!!!! I encountered that message probably like 20 times before giving up entirely and resulting in returning the item back to the store. Would not recommend for beginner users. Software is really complicated and overall was not the best fit for me.
