The Singer Plastic Class 15 Bobbins - Transparent will make a great addition to your sewing supplies. These four class 15 transparent plastic bobbins serve as replacements for selected sewing machines from brands such as Singer, Atlas, Brother, Domestic, Elna, Kenmore, Morse, New Home, Sewmore, Universal, White and Wizard. Refer to your machine's manual to ensure the correct bobbin size. Use the transparent bobbins beneath the needle plate in automatic sewing machines to wind the thread for your embroidery projects. Never add a thread to a partially wound bobbin, as it may be uneven and cause the thread to tangle or break.

Very poor quality control.
I ordered Class 15 bobbins and the package stated Class 15. However, upon opening them they are not Class 15 bobbins which are required for my Singer HD 4452 machine. They are smaller in diameter and have a raised area around the center of both bobbins. I see this has been a problem for others ordering Class 15 bobbins. JOANN really needs to take care of this significant problem. Why order any sewing items or fabric from JOANN if one can't depend on getting the correct bobbins for their machine?

Transparent bobbins
The transparent bobbins are quite nice. You see at a glance how much thread you have left. After using them often, you will begin in know how many "miles" you can sew on one. I also like the drop in method, much easier to replace.

Did not work in my 9960 Quantum Stylist
Even though many sources say they will. Wouldn't sew one stitch and one bobbin broke in half while winding it. I took it to repair man, he put in a clear class 15 with a round threading hole and the name SINGER on it and it worked perfectly. So annoying, the 9960 is too sensitive. I just ordered the SINGER ones.

these are NOT standard class 15
These are not "compatible" class 15 bobbins. they do not fit in all Class 15 machines.
you can see in pictures they are too small, too light (much thinner plastic) & taller (they have a ridge in the top and the bottom), makes easily stitching problems such as tangling, skipping, and looping. If you have the bobbins that come with the machines have round holes, flat on top and bottom (no ridge), I do not recommend these.

THESE ARE NOT STANDARD CLASS 15 BOBBINS
I spoke to a Singer customer service rep and confirmed my beliefs. These are NOT CLASS 15 bobbins like the ones that come with many new machines. These have an edge all the way around them, both sides. The class 15 are smooth. Singer knows about this but evidently never recalled because of lot numbers? DO NOT USE IF YOU NEED TRUE CLASS 15. Unfortunately, they are wrong EVERYWHERE. Dritz brand is wrong as well. I hope this helps and stops many headaches and possible serious damage to your sewing machine. :(

Bobbins for Singer 6800C Heavy Duty Machine
I bought the HD 6800C last November. I love the machine, but I’m having a problem getting the same bobbins that came with the machine. The class 15 bobbins are not the same as the ones that came with the machine. They appear smaller and not sturdy. How can I get the same bobbins that came with the machine. Help!!!

I bought these bobbins to supplement the ones that came with my new machine (HD6800C), and I'm disappointed at how flimsy they are. Pressing them onto the winder has to be done very carefully so they don't break. The ones that came with the machine are much sturdier and wind much more easily. However they were the only ones that work with the machine's bobbin tension. I've sewn for 60 years, owning a Singer Touch and Sew for 50, and knew that brand to be pretty solid. These are not.

Wish they were metal
These are the only type of bobbin my machine (quantum stylist 9960) uses. I am in the middle of winding a bobbin and out of nowhere the tops of two bobbins pop off. The machine did not stop, nothing. I really wish the bobbins were metal.

The bobbins recently purchased are just slightly taller than the bobbins that came with machine. Stitches skip periodically and thread does not release when pulled at end of seam.

Works for my Singer Stylist
Never had trouble with them for my machine, however I got some other bobbins second hand that do exactly what everyone is having trouble with.
Definitely buy with caution, and keep your receipt handy in case they don't work for you, but for my drop in bobbin they work great and I very rarely have issues (unless my bobbin wasn't threaded correctly by me)

Not the same Class 15 as my machine calls for
Not sure what type of bobbin they are but they are not the Class 15 that my Singer 2243 calls for. They’re open so they can’t go back and don’t fit in my machine so I guess they’re garbage. Make sure you compare closely with your current bobbins before opening the package.

Never Again
These are not identical to what came with my Singer 9960. The consequence is that sometimes there's bunching on the bottom or the bobbin wobbles and eventually the thread gets all twisted inside and you'll need to pluck threads from the bobbin case. 2 stars because when they work as they're supposed to which is maybe half of the time, you're good but I wouldn't buy again!

No good
These bobbins do not work well on my machine. I bought 3 packages so I could have different colored thread ready for making face masks. When using these bobbins the thread constantly jams. I will return the unopened packages.
