It gets in between detailed cuts and keeps you from tearing the cut when lifting it off of the cutting mat. I use it to pierce holes for sewing look edging on paper crafts. It is my go too tool can't craft without it.

It is a must have and am so glad I ordered this. I also use it to lift tiny rhinestones off the package sheet and onto my card. Wish I had ordered two of them so I have a back up. Great for piercing for brad placement as well.
