SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Baseball T-Shirt with Black Sleeves
- Disappearing Ink Pen
- Black Embroidery Floss, Three 8yd Skeins
- Embroidery Needle
- Embroidery Hoop
- Stabilizer, Tear Away or Water Soluble
- Optional: Quilting Ruler, Compass
DIRECTIONS:
- Draw web design in upper and lower corners of the baseball tee with disappearing ink pen. Freehand the web or use a quilting ruler and make a web line every 30 degrees, mark each line every two inches out from the center, measure the horizontal distance between each mark and make an arc template with a compass on a scrap piece of paper to trace for each line of webbing.
- Secure stabilizer with an embroidery hoop on the interior of the t-shirt. Begin embroidering the lines with your black embroidery floss using a backstitch. Start with a single straight stitch and continue along the web lines by bringing the needle up a space ahead and then bringing the needle back down into the same hole at the end of the last stitch. Continue along all the cut web lines, moving your embroidery hoop and adding more stabilizer as you go. Secure embroidery threads by knotting together inside of the shirt wherever needed.
- With the disappearing ink pen, add a line dangling down from the top spiderweb and a circle with some freehand legs. Secure stabilizer with the hoop as before and continue embroidering. When you get to the spider, you can fill up the circle with embroidery floss using the backstitch technique as well.

Easy Halloween tee
I thought this was a neat idea, even though I have never done embroidery before. Nice directions and easy to follow. Took just a few hours to finish as a total beginner. We even got creative and added a spider web on the bottom. My daughter loves it!
