Spooky Cake Pops

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Microwavable bowls
  • Spatulas
  • Popsicle silicone mold
  • Meltable candy wafers in black, orange & white
  • Halloween sprinkles
  • Ghost silicone mold
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Store bought buttercream frosting
  • Favorite cake mix recipe

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Bake cake following recipe, allow cake to fully cool before finely crumbling the whole cake in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add 1/2 of canned frosting, mix by hand. Mixture should be dense but not wet. Refrigerate dough for 15 minutes.
  3. Melt a small portion of candy wafers in microwave following instructions on packaging. Spoon candy into Popsicle mold. Tilt the mold from side to side to cover and then pour excess candy back into bowl. This technique will also make a ghost to go onto of cake pop.
  4. Once the candy in the molds has hardened, press a small amount of cake mix into mold cavity and insert Popsicle stick.
  5. Melt remaining candy in microwavable and pour onto the top of cake pop. Allow to harden and gently remove from mold. Use melted candy and then sprinkles to decorate fun and spooky desserts.
