Worst. Product. EverBought this because it was the only iron on hem tape product at the Joanns. I thought it was like the other HeatnBond product HEM Adhesive - just place and heat, nice and simple. Nope. This is a multistep nightmare. First its paperbacked requiring 5 steps instead of 1. You have to heat the paperbacking once in place, let it cool, remove paperbacking (and hope the adhesive stays down), place the other side of your fabric down, and heat the other side of the adhesive. ULTRAbond is anything but. It required 2 strips of this junk just to make it stick. Was this product designed by someone who never sewed a thing in their life?! This is supposed to take away the need to sew or give you an easier way to sew items without the need for pins. This needs to be redesigned without the stupid paperbacking and with thicker stickier adhesive. Rant over.

Great if used correctlyI used this to make my own table top ironing mat. I used it to secure 3 layers of various fabrics together without issue. I used natural bump fabric (ultra thick fabric) sandwiched between a layer of Mylar and natural cotton face sheet. I used another type before this one on a linen project and it dissapointed me as my seams kept coming apart. You should follow the instructions and only set the iron on top of the paper liner for 2-3 seconds. When using this on drapery and upholstery fabrics you may want to heat set the fabrics together for at least 8 seconds before checking the bond.

Bled through my fabricI was making a bandana and wanted to fold the edges under so it would not frey and thought this would be easier than sewing. It bled through the fabric so now the edges are all darker than the rest of the fabric. Very disappointed.

Easy to work with!I do not sew but like to craft. This is a great product anyone can use to make clean lines. You just need an iron and scissors.
