Square Floor Cushions with Handle

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• 1yd 54" home decor or outdoor fabric
• 1/3yd contrasting fabric for cording
• 3yds 3/8" cording
• 1 1/2-2lbs of fiberfill
• 1 1/2yds fleece (optional)
• Sewing machine
• Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:

1. 1/2" seam allowance
2. Cut two 25" squares.
3. Cut one 4"x 10" piece for the handle.
4. Contrasting fabric-cut 1 3/4" bias strips to make 102".
5. Add 25" squares of fleece if desired.
6. Place 25" square fabric on top of fleece.
7. Cover cording and stitch to top.
8. Fold handle piece in half and press and in half to inside & press.
9. Stitch 1/8" from each fold.
10. Fold ends under 1" and press.
11. Cut four sides 6"x 25".
12. Center handle on one side piece and stitch both 1" ends.
13. Seam all 6" sides.
14. Add side "box" to top at cording.
15. Add bottom square and stitch leaving an 8" opening for turning.
16. Turn and stuff.
17. Slip stitch opening.
