St. Patrick's Day Cricut Drink Koozies

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • Laptop or Computer
  • Cricut Explore
  • Iron-On Vinyl, Various Colors or Textures
  • Standard 4"x4" Koozies
  • Standard 12"x12" Grip Mat
  • Cricut Weeding Hook
  • Cricut EasyPress
  • Parchment Paper or heat resistant Paper

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Open Design Space and start on a new canvas.
  2. Insert a square shape and size 4"x4" and duplicate 4 times.
  3. Change the color to your koozie colors.

  4. KISS ME I'M CRAFTY
    1. Insert Text "KISS ME IM CRAFTY" and change text font to Easton and American Uncial Com Regular.
    2. Change color to gold.
    3. Insert Lips Kiss image (#M2F1EA900) and change to white.
    4. Adjust to fit inside the 4"x4" area, approx 3"x3" after the design is placed together.
    5. Attach same color wording and alike colors.

    SHAMROCKS & SHENANIGANS
    1. Insert Text "SHAMROCKS & Shenanigans" and change font text "SHAMROCKS" to Easton, the "&" to DIN 1451 Com EngSchrift and "shenanigans" to DTC Sahara Smooth.
    2. Insert 3 squares and adjust them into thin long lines by unlocking image on the botton left of the squares.
    3. Insert shamrock clover image (#M849839B).
    4. Assemble shamrock texts and lines together in the 4"x4" area, change color to black, and weld.

    IRISH IT WERE FRIDAY
    1. Insert Irish text image (#M8498495) change color to green.
    2. Insert text and type "IT WERE FRIDAY" and change font to Easton.
    3. Color to black.
    4. Assemble texts together to fit in a 4"x4" area.
    5. Attach alike colors.

    HAPPY GO LUCKY
    1. Insert "HAPPY GO" and change font text to Easton.
    2. Insert Lucky image (#M26F78938).
    3. Insert Rainbow image (#M3DB55).
    4. Use contour on the lucky image to get rid of the shamrocks, and turn the font image at an angle.
    5. Place rainbow inside 4"x4" area and place lucky under it.
    6. Place "HAPPY GO" on top of the rainbow and use the curve icon to make the text appear to be in the shape of the rainbow.
    7. Change lucky and "HAPPY GO" to color black.
    8. Attach alike colors.

  5. Cut with the Cricut and follow on screen instructions.
  6. Be sure to change out your color of vinyls out to match what's being cut.
  7. Mirror before cutting. Place shiny side of iron on faced down on mat.
  8. Heat up the easy press while you are cutting to 305F temp 15 seconds.
  9. After cutting and weeding with the weeding hook place your iron on to Koozies and press in layers, starting with dark colors and glitter vinyls first.

JOANN HACKS:
  • Place heat resistant paper or parchment paper over top of iron on vinyl and koozie.
  • Hide or delete your 4"x4" squares as they will not be cut and used just for a visual guide on Cricut design space.
  • When making multiples of the same koozie, duplicate entire image as many times as needed.
