Stackable Tote

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 2 yds home decor fabric (interior)
  • 2 yds home decor fabric (exterior)
  • 2 yds Pellon 809 Decor Fusible Bond
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Sewing machine with walking foot
  • Twelve 1" large grommets
  • 2 1/2"yds rope for handles

DIRECTIONS:

    1/2" seam allowance included.
  1. Using template provided, cut size of stackable tote desired out of interior, exterior and interfacing.
  2. To print the template, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above).
  3. Apply interfacing to WS of interior fabric, following manufacturer's instructions.
  4. Sew exterior 9" long ends RST. Sew boxed corners, then turn piece RS out. Repeat process with interior fabric, leaving a small hole in seam for turning.
  5. Sew interior to exterior RST at top, unfinished edge. Turn piece RS out and sew small hole closed. Fold over edge so interior fabric is showing.
  6. If desired, apply grommets to two sides of totes, approximately 5" away from the center. Pull rope through grommets to create handles and knot excess on the inside.
