18" PILLOW
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • 5/8yd Star Wars fabric
  • 3/4yd contrasting Star Wars fabric
  • 2 1/4yds cording
  • 18" pillow form
  • Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Cut two pieces 19"x 19" for pillow front and back.
  2. Cut enough 1 3/4" bias strips from the contrasting fabric to make 2 1/4yds.
  3. Sew the strips together into one long piece.
  4. Fold bias strips over cording and sew to pillow front using 1/2" seam allowance.
  5. With RST, sew front to back, leaving and opening for turning.
  6. Clip corners and turn right side out.
  7. Insert pillow form and slip stitch opening closed.

FLEECE BLANKET WITH BRAIDED EDGE
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • 2yds Star Wars fleece
  • 2yds solid fleece
  • Scissors
  • Ruler

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Lay the solid fleece with WS up on cutting table.
  2. Lay printed fleece RS up on top of solid piece.
  3. Trim off salvages and square up cut ends.
  4. Cut our a 4" square in each corner.
  5. On all four sides, cut 4" strips 1" apart.
  6. Holding both strips together, fold up the strips and snip about 1/2" into the center of the strip – this will make a 1" hole in both pieces.
  7. Repeat until all strips are cut all around blanket.
  8. Starting at one corner, (holding both solid and print strips together) hold one set of strips in your right hand and one in your left hand.
  9. Turn strips 1/4 turn to your right and pull the right hand strips through the hole in the left hand strips.
  10. The right hand strips are now in your left hand, give it a 1/4 turn and pick up the next set of strips in your right hand; and pull them through the hole in the left hand strips.
  11. Continue braiding around all four sides.

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • 2yds StarWars fleece
  • 2yds Solid canvas
  • Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Lay the solid canvas with RS up on cutting table.
  2. Lay printed fleece WS up on top of solid piece.
  3. Trim off salvages and square up cut ends.
  4. Sew along all four sides with a 1/2" seam, leaving an opening for turning.
  5. Clip corners and turn RS out.
  6. Slip stitch opening closed.
  7. Edge stitch around all four sides 3/4" from edge.
