  23. Cut a 9"x 9" square of Shape-Flex and fuse to the back of the Ohio fabric toward one end but being sure to capture the parts of the design you would like in your appliqued state of Ohio.
  24. Trace the outline of the state of Ohio on the paper side of the HeatnBond. The state outline needs to be in reverse and the easiest way is to place the outline face down on a light box to trace. Another method is to tape the outline to a window (in daylight) with the outline facing outside then place the HeatnBond on top and trace.
  25. Fuse the HeatnBond on the back of the interfaced Ohio fabric and cut out the state of Ohio. Place the Ohio applique centered on the 17"x 17" backing fabric and fuse in place.
  26. Pin the tearaway stabilizer behind the fused fabric. Set up the machine for a satin stitch with a width of 2.5. Thread the machine with the embroidery thread. Satin stitch all around the raw edge of the Ohio shape to complete the pillow top. Remove the tearaway.
  27. Cut the remaining Ohio fabric into six 1 1/2" strips on the bias. Sew the strips together forming one long bias strip and press. Use the bias strip to cover the filler cord to make piping.
  28. Place the flannel on the work surface and the pillow top right side up on top of the flannel. Baste the piping on the edge of the layered fabric overlapping the beginning and end of the trim.
  29. Place the pillow top face up on the work surface. Layer the two backing pieces face down overlapping the hemmed edges and matching the cut edges to pillow top. Pin in place and sew close to the piping all around. Turn the pillow inside out and press.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great print IF IT WAS RESTOCKED AGAIN I have to agree with the previous remarks. I’d love to order lots of different state prints to make Christmas gifts. I was able was to place an order for IL and PA but only IL was available to ship. When will it be available again? Your design team spent a lot of time making prints for 50 different states. You could earn back that investment if you’d just get more in stock!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Need more I was fortunately enough to get a little bit of the Virginia state fabric by traveling to another store, and it was great for this pillow. But when I went online and right back, there is NO state pride fabric available on your website, it isn't even listed anymore? How can we make the pillow if we can't get any fabric?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed This is unavailable online and when shopping in person. maybe you shouldn't advertise it in your mailer if customers can't buy it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from state pride fabric Ridiculous that you show this fabric many times and is never available. Some folks obviously got some - only 1 bolt for sale? You are such a big corporation, why don't you have manufacturer reprint more. They do it all the time, I wanted Alaska and New Hampshire and could never get it. Please reply. Thank you. L Pickard Would I like to recommend to a friend? IF IT WAS IN STOCK - YES.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from State Pride Fabric I just ordered some and it was delivered and a friend bought some for VA and now it won't even come up on the site. What's Up with that? Can't recommend something we can't get. We don't have a store in Myrtle Beach so have to order online.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful fabrics, not enough available Love the fabrics, was able to buy 6 states! Probably will make pillows and maybe a quilt. To the writer of a previous review: Directions for all of the pillows are on this site. There aren’t PDF patterns for the other pillows because you don’t need them if you follow the directions that are already posted here under DESCRIPTION.
