SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Lion Brand Stitch Soak Scrub (Art. #781)
  • Lion Brand Yarn Skein, #105 Eventide
  • Lion Brand U.S. Size J/10 (6mm) Crochet Hook
  • Lion Brand Large-Eyed Blunt Needle

  • SIZE: About 5" diameter

DIRECTIONS:

Loofah is worked as a long continuous round. No need to keep track of the rounds - just keep working until the Loofah is the size that you like or you've used all the yarn.
Pattern is meant to be an easy 'recipe' for crocheting a simple Loofah. Don't worry about exact number of stitches, your Loofah will look great even if you miss a stitch!

LOOFAH
First make an adjustable ring as follows:
Wrap yarn around index finger. Insert hook into ring on finger, yarn over and draw up a loop.
Carefully slip ring from finger, then make a chain about 7 in. (18 cm) long.
Then make a single crochet into the adjustable ring - this will make the chain into a hanging loop.
Make 19 more single crochet into the ring.
Gently but firmly, pull tail to tighten center of ring.
You'll be working in the round from this point on.
For the first round, work 4 double crochet stitches into each of the 20 single crochet stitches.
Continue around and around, working 4 double crochet stitches into each double crochet as you come to it until the Loofa is as large as you like or until you run out of yarn.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
Thread the beginning yarn tail into the blunt needle and weave into the Loofah.
Repeat with the ending yarn tail.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy pattern Easy enough pattern for a someone who is newish to crochet. I figured out the event idea that it mentioned is just the color they used in the example. The yarn might be a little to scratchy for some people when using it as a loofa

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun to do so far I am crocheting this now, but I don't know what to do with the Yarn Skein #105 Eventide. There is no reference to it in the instructions. Otherwise, so far so good. It's fun to do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy but Long First I want to say that using this yarn was actually a lot easier than I thought it'd be. I thought it'd hurt my finger, which is did a little but not as much as I thought it would. This pattern is super easy. It was nice to do the same thing over again. The reason I give it a 4 out of 5 because this took me a long time to do. About 3 hours. I might just be slow though.
