DIRECTIONS:
- Mix preferred chocolate cake mix, bake in whoopie pie molds. Once baked and cooled, cut each cake in half.
- Cover cake in chocolate frosting and dip edges in brown jimmies set on parchment paper with flat side down.
- Decorate curved top of half circle cake with green icing to create lettuce.
- On another piece of parchment, roll out yellow fondant with rolling pin. Cut into narrow strips to create a shredded cheese look. Use the yellow strips of fondant to sprinkle on top of green icing.
- Add red heart sprinkles on top of “cheese" and “lettuce".
- Add various size pieces of brown fondant to white fondant that has been rolled out to create a tortilla look. Roll fondant again to combine the two colors.
- Use circle cookie cutter to cut out tortilla shapes.
- Place cake halves in center of fondant cutout. Fold over sides of fondant to create a taco shell.
JOANN HACKS:
- Use crumbled pieces of brown fondant to sprinkle onto white fondant and then roll out. This will create the look of a tortilla shell.
