SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 5/8yd solid fabric for narrow stripes
- 7/8yd print fabric for wide stripes
- 1yd fabric for backing
- 1/2yd fabric for binding
- Crib size batting
- One skein #5 pearl cotton
- Rotary cutter, ruler and mat
- Basic sewing supplies
- Iron and pressing surface
- Sewing machine
DIRECTIONS:
- Read all instructions before cutting and sewing. Use accurate 1/4" seams.
- From solid cut 5 - 3 1/2" x WOF strips for narrow stripes.
- From print cut 4 - 6 1/2" x WOF strips for wide stripes.
- Sew strips together beginning with a narrow stripe and alternate rows. Press.
- Sandwich backing, batting and quilt top. Baste or pin to hold together.
- Using the pearl cotton hand sew three rows of running stitches across each of the five solid rows.
- Trim and do additional quilting if desired.
- Bind your quilt. It should finish at 30"x 40".
