SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 2 2/3yd 54" striped home decor or outdoor fabric
- 1/3yd contrasting 54" fabric (cording)
- 5 2/3yds 3/8" cording
- 1 1/2-2lbs of fiberfill
- 1 1/2yds fleece (optional)
- Sewing machine
- Basic sewing supplies
DIRECTIONS:
- 1/2" seam allowance
- Make a pattern for top by cutting a 26" square of paper then fold the square diagonally and diagonally again. This triangle is the pattern piece.
- Cut four triangles with stripes running parallel to long side.
- Pin two short pieces together RST matching stripes and seam.
- Repeat with other two triangles.
- RST pin both pieces and seam matching all stripes (25" square).
- Cut a 25" square for bottom.
- Add 25" squares of fleece if desired.
- Cut 1 3/4" bias strips to make 102".
- Cover cording and stitch to top then repeat on bottom square.
- Centering stripes, cut four sides 6"x 25".
- Seam all 6" sides.
- Add side "box" to top at cording.
- Add bottom square and seam leaving an 8" opening for turning.
- Turn and stuff.
- Slip stitch opening.
