Stuffed Fleece Turtle

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• 3/4 yd print fleece
• 3/4 yd solid fleece
• 1/4 yd contrast solid fleece
• 2 lbs Fiber Fill (approximately)
• Two 1 1/8" covered buttons
• Matching thread
• Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:

1. To print the patterns, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above). Enlarge patterns.
2. Cut out top turtle from print fleece.
3. Cut out bottom turtle from solid fleece.
4. Cut out 4 front and back legs and 2 head pieces from contrast solid fleece.
5. With WST, edge stitch around outside edges of legs and head.
6. If desired, lightly stuff legs.
7. Top stitch lines in legs (see photo).
8. Stitch darts in turtle top as indicated on pattern.
9. Baste legs in front of darts as indicated on pattern.
10. Stuff head to desired firmness.
11. Follow manufacturer's directions and cover 2 buttons with contrast.
12. Sew eyes in place as shown.
13. Baste head to turtle top.
14. With WST, edge stitch around outside of turtle, leaving an opening in the back for stuffing.
15. Stuff to desired firmness.
16. Stitch opening closed.
