How To Get It
A ribbon-like polyester film that is metalized with aluminum to make it brilliantly reflective. For sewing machine, serger and handwork. For best results, use on a vertical spool pin. Set top tension on a lower setting. Use a 80/85, 14 needle (embroidery or top stitching). Sew at a slow or moderate speed. In the bobbin use a Sulky Metallic, 40 weight, fine sewing or basting thread. 250 Yards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not really a thread... First of all, this stuff is not a "Thread" as advertised... It's more like a fine tinsel, from a plastic base. Unlike thread it is quite strong and it will stretch a ways before it actually breaks. However, it is quite reflective and metallic. I am very happy with this product, I knew what I wanted before I bought it and it filled that purpose nicely. I will buy it again, however it may be several years before I need another 250 yards of it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magnificent Sulky brand thread I've splurged when JoAnn's had a sale of buy one get another half off on thread. I had to order online for the majority of Sulky Holoshimmer. This brand is high quality and I trust it for my products I make to sell in my Etsy shop. It adds a unique look to fabrics and makes it delightful to look at. Easy to work with, and does not jam my sewing machine. I highly recommend this thread for giving your projects a nice, colorful look.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed... Maybe my machine needed some adjustments or maybe a different needle. My thread kept breaking. I used a 90/14 needle. I loved the color but gee... the thread breaking was getting on my one last nerve. Any advice?

It comes in all the colors of traditional Egyptian pigments, which are gold, saffron, indigo, and ochre. It catches light so well. All my clothing is sewn with this thread.
