Best thread storage container
The storage box holds 64 300yd spools of thread as advertised. If you have the 135 yard spools it will hold 128. The thread stays in place when you open the case. This is the best container i have found for thread.

Organized Spools and Bobbins In One Place
When I took up sewing again and bought this storage box nearly 2 years ago, I didn’t think I’d really need this to organize my threads. I only filled about half the spindles at the time. It’s easy to use: simply push down the tab to tilt out the spindle/rod and slide on a spool. Just don’t pull out the spindle itself; it may break off from the tab with too much force or repeated misuse. I store a variety of brands of threads in this case. The spindles are long enough to add bobbins. Love that I can store spools of thread together with their matching bobbins. Also love that I can organize them by color for easier fabric matching. The slim box stores easily away, taking up little space while keeping my threads dust- and lint-free. So glad I took the advice of another sewist and invested in this storage box.

Ability to store matching bobbin with thread
I have loved this for years. I actually bought a second one due to so many thread spools. Last week I discovered I have room to store both the bobbin and the spool of thread on the same Sulky rung. Love this!

Best solution for organizing spools and bobbins
I was gifted one of these cases and it organized my messy thread situation instantly. The genius of this product is the ability to store a large volume of thread, keep spool and bobbin together, display all color options, keep everything dust free and keep it simple. These make thoughtful gifts for seamstresses, quilters and embroidery enthusiasts.
The hinged case opens like a book with rows of pegs on each side, you can get a general idea of what colors are inside without opening it because you can see through the translucent plastic. To use, gently pull a peg out to slide spool and bobbin on and off, there shouldn’t be any violent “snapping back”, common sense, this is plastic and will break. That being said, it’s still flexible enough, just be aware. Know the size of your spools, the peg is only so big so be sure yours will fit, there are two sizes of cases. Some might be too tall and won’t leave enough room for the matching bobbin to be stored together but you can easily use a peg or two for these exceptions. I’ll be more particular when I buy thread in the future. I recently got a fancier sewing machine and am considering a second case for my embroidery thread just to keep them separate.
All the negative reviews are from people who didn’t do enough research and assumed it would work for them, that’s no fault of the case. Don’t be turn off by them, try it for yourself. Lastly, there are two sizes of cases, choose wisely and you won’t regret it.
