Blue Lace Dress
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- McCall's® 7405
- Follow yardage on pattern envelope for solid fabric, add the same amount for the lace
- Sewing Supplies
- Sewing Machine
DIRECTIONS:
NOTE: Use 5/8" seam on pattern.- Cut out lace the same as the solid fabric. Use the solid fabric under the lace. Treat the solid and lace as one fabric until the hip area then cut into the lace fabric the 5/8" seam allowance. Push the lace out then continue sewing solid fabric. Complete sewing lace to the hemline.
- Hem the solid and leave the lace hem unhemmed.
- Cut the belt and neck bias out of solid fabric.
JOANN HACKS:
- Use #14 sewing needle when doing 2 or 3 layers of fabric.
- Lace netting should not be hemmed.
Sage Green One Shoulder Dress
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Butterick® 6652
- Follow yardage on pattern envelope for solid fabric
- 1yd of chiffon for overlay bodice and one sleeve
- Stitch Witchery (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
NOTE: Use 5/8" seam on pattern.- Cut gown as instructed. Cut the top overlay in chiffon bodice and right sleeve.
- The bodice will overlay with chiffon and treated and sewn as one fabric.
- The sleeve will be sheer and completed as instruction on pattern.
JOANN HACKS:
- Use #11 or #12 sewing needle when sewing chiffon.
- Use of 1" Stitch Witchery is always good to use for the hem.
