Floral Watering Can
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Unfinished framed wood with bird cutout
- Acrylic Paint: charcoal, sage green, white, light gray, gold/tan
- White spray paint
- Medium flat brush/detail brush
- Water/paper towels for clean up
DIRECTIONS:
- Lightly base coat the wood sign with white spray paint to prime the surface and create a solid color. This will allow the colors to show up true to color and the dark edges to cover up with less coats of acrylic paint.
- Paint the bottom tray brown on the inside and outside edges.
- Paint the watering can gray.
- Paint the stems and leaves green.
- Paint the flowers maroon, yellow and white.
- Add interest to the flowers and leaves by adding design elements to them with a detail brush and using colors slightly darker.
- Add design elements to the can with a detail brush and white paint to add interest.
'Stay Wild' Unfinished Wood Sign
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Unfinished framed wood with bird cutout
- Acrylic Paint: charcoal, sage green, white, light gray, gold/tan
- White spray paint
- Medium flat brush/detail brush
- Water/paper towels for clean up
DIRECTIONS:
- Lightly base coat the wood sign with white spray paint to prime the surface and create a solid color. This will allow the colors to show up true to color and the dark edges to cover up with less coats of acrylic paint.
- Paint inside the letters with dark charcoal paint covering the sides as well. Paint inside the leaf cutouts green. Apply additional coats as needed to the inside elements allowing to dry between coats.
- Paint the Banners light grey and the leaves in the middle green. Make sure to paint the sides where it meets the background of the sign.
- Paint the outer frame charcoal grey making sure to paint the inside edge.
- Paint the background white. Make sure to cut in carefully to not get paint on the already painted edges. Apply additional coats as needed.
- Once the background is dry lightly pencil in a leopard design and paint it in with the gold and charcoal paint.
Unfinished Wood Frame with Bird Cutout
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Unfinished framed wood with bird cutout
- Acrylic Paint
- Medium flat brush/detail brush
- Water/paper towels for clean up
DIRECTIONS:
- Paint the inside of the framed wood area blush pink, apply additional coats as needed.
- Paint the frame brown, applying additional coats as needed.
- Add branches to the bottom coming off from the side to look as though the bird is resting on them, bring the design up and around as desired.
- Paint in white leaves with a detail brush.
Wood Wreath
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Unfinished wood tropical wreath
- Acrylic Paint
- White spray paint
- Detail brush/medium brush
- Water/paper towels for clean up
DIRECTIONS:
- Lightly base coat the wood wreath with white spray paint to prime the surface and create a solid color. This will allow the colors to show up true to color and the dark edges to cover up with less coats of acrylic paint.
- Paint the leaves in shades of green.
- Paint the flowers in shades of maroon, pinks and yellow (or desired colors).
- Add details to the flowers and leaves with a detail brush.
Wood Leaf Boxes
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Unfinished wood box with leaf accent (comes in various sizes)
- Acrylic paint
- White spray paint
- Medium flat brush
- Water/paper towels for clean up
DIRECTIONS:
- Lightly base coat the wood box with white spray paint to prime the surface and create a solid color. This will allow the colors to show up true to color and the dark edges to cover up with less coats of acrylic paint.
- Paint the box desired color and the leaf portion a lighter hue. (For the examples the box was maroon and the leaf a blush pink for one and the other was a darker green box with a sage green leaf.)
- Add additional coats as needed painting all areas of the box.
