JOANN HACKS:

  • The Aleenes permanent fabric adhesive sheets acts like double sided tape. Its great to put a small strip behind your project to hold in place.
  • No heat required so it is great for fabrics that cannot be ironed. Stays flexible, machine washable. Great for hems too. Just be careful when using, it is sticky and if you handle too much the sticky part will come off on your fingers.

Armbands:

  1. Cut two rectangles 9"x 12" for armband.
  2. Cut two of pattern for accent on armband.
  3. Cut strips of adhesive to apply to accent piece.
  4. Pin the accent to front of armband having bottom straight edges even.
  5. Zigzag in place all around the accent.
  6. Fold bottom edge 1/2" to bag and sew hem.
  7. Center the point of the accent on armband on the top of your hand.
  8. Measure the length that you want your band to go.
  9. Sew a hem at top of band by folding the top back and stitch 5/8" from fold.
  10. Trim excess.
  11. Place the armband on your arm with right side towards your arm.
  12. Pin the edges together for the seam.
