  • Icing bag
  • Pretzel rods

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Follow preferred cake recipe. Separate cake batter into two bowls. Color one bowl with blue food coloring and the other with red.
  2. Bake five 6" rounds, two with blue cake batter and three with red.
  3. While cake is baking use Wilton candy melts in red, blue and white to make candy footballs set aside until dry
  4. Once cakes are baked and completely cooled use a round cookie cutter to remove the center of each cake. Stack layers with buttercream icing between each
  5. Pour Sprinkles and candy melt footballs into center of cake
  6. Cover the whole cake with a thin layer of buttercream icing. Use dowel rods to keep cake from leaning
  7. Mix green food coloring with remaining buttercream and with Wilton decorating tip #233 create a “grass" look all over cake.
  8. Finally melt yellow candy melts to cover pretzels to make a football goal post. Once dry add it to the top of your cake.
