Swan Cape
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 3/4yd white netting
- 3/4yd white tulle
- 3/4yd light grey tulle
- Sewing notions
DIRECTIONS:
NOTE: Use 5/8" seam on pattern.- Cut out the cape out of netting. Cut a front and back 27" long x 20" wide. Shape bottom up the sides sloping into a shoulder line and scoop out neckline. The center back will be on the fold, center front has two pieces. Sew front and back together.
- Cut out six strips of white 4" long by the width of tulle and six strips of grey tulle 4" long by the width of tulle. Pre-gather all strips. No need to sew strips together, overlap while sewing. Starting at the bottom, sew white gathered strips from the center front around to other center front. Alternate the next level with grey, overlapping the white by about 1". Continue sewing gathered strips alternating white then grey until 3 white and two grey ruffles are sewn. Cut out a strip of tulle for neck binding 36"long x 1 1/2" wide. Fold length in half, mark the middle of the binding strip for the center back, pin it to the neckline center back. Sew binding to neckline, fold over binding, top stitch to neckline. Continuing folding and sewing binding for the tie strips.
Swan Mask
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Park Lane™ white paper mask form with Fleur de Lis
- Gold acrylic craft paint
- Black acrylic craft paint
- Gold glitter
- Black glitter
- Gold washable paper
- Tulle
- Pencil
- Hot glue gun/glue gun sticks
- Large sheet of paper/cardboard (to catch excess glitter)
DIRECTIONS:
To find the downloadable patterns click on the "GET PATTERNS" tab above.- Lightly trace outline along top of mask as a guide for gold paint. Paint area gold. Apply glitter before paint dries.
- Lightly trace outline along bottom of mask nose as a guide for black paint. Paint area black. Apply glitter before paint dries.
- Cut out beak shape from washable gold paper, see pattern. Hot glue to inside of mask.
- Cut our strips of tulle approximately 12" long and 4" high. Gather into fan shape. Hot glue to back of mask, starting from the center and adding to each side as desired.
JOANN HACKS:
- Using a gathering foot should gather the tulle by 2 times.
- Tulle or netting does not have to be hemmed as it will not ravel.

Makes NO Sense At all!
Really? This pattern and directions make NO sense. One may as well just create their own pattern as this pattern and directions really do not make a whole lot of sense.
