SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Mildliner Double Ended Highlighter or Mildliner Brush Pens
  • Zebra Sarasa Clip 0.5 Pen or Zebra Clickart Pen
  • 4"x 6" Card Stock (2 sheets)
  • Tape

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Draw circles all over the paper using the Mildliner Double Ended Highlighter or Mildliner Brush Pen. These will be the orange illustrations.
  2. Draw stems and leaves to finish the orange illustration for just a few of the circles. For the stems, draw a light stroke and for the leaves, draw an almond-shaped leaf.
  3. Draw leaves all over and next to the orange illustrations to fill the negative space.
  4. Using the Zebra Sarasa Clip 0.5 Pen or Clickart Pen, draw some offset outlines of the oranges.
  5. To add some contrast, we will be drawing the inside of an orange. Start by drawing a circle and then draw triangles inside the circle.
  6. Let's add some details inside the orange by drawing vertical lines inside the triangles.
  7. Lastly, draw lines inside of the oranges near the edges to add some details. To create the backing for the utensil holder, we will be using another 4"x 6" card stock sheet.
  8. Tape down the 2 sheets by taping the 2 side edges and bottom only leaving the top open.
