DIRECTIONS:
Chevron Pattern Wrap:
- Lay the box onto the wrong side of the wrapping paper.
- Cut the wrapping paper to be wide enough so that each side will go past the side of the box. Fold the paper up from the bottom about 1/3 of the way up the box and press.
- Take the right side at the bottom and fold it inward at the corner and fold across the box.
- This makes a triangle on the paper that is still not folded inward. Repeat this on the left side of the box. Then keep folding inward making a chevron pattern with the folds.
- Fold the top end of the box inward to close it. Tie a ribbon around to hold the paper in place.
- Use the wax sealer and melt a 1" medallion size onto the ribbon. Press the sealer into the wax while it is still hot.
Solid Color Behind Pattern Wrap:
- Wrap the box with a solid piece of wrapping paper with the seam on the back side.
- Take the printed holiday paper, lay it pattern side down.
- Make sure the printed paper can go around the package and overlap by 1". Then place the solid wrapped package on top.
- You will fold the printed paper with triangles going towards the middle of the box.
- You will make two triangles for each side going towards the middle. Make sure the paper is long enough to meet in the middle on the top surface. Do the same with the other side.
- Put the triangles toward the middle.
- You may need a small piece of tape to hold them in place.
- Using the sealer make a medallion of wax where the triangles overlap each other.
- Press the sealer into the wax while it is still hot.
JOANN HACKS:
- Press clean seams with your fingers so that the folds look crisp and exact.
