DIRECTIONS:
- Trace a circle with a pencil on watercolor paper to use as a guide for stamping the wreath.
- Stamp four leaf images from the Tropical Flowers stamp set onto masking tape and cut out.
- Stamp the leaf images on the watercolor paper with black ink around the circle to create a wreath. Use the leaf masks to allow for overlapping of the leaves.
- Trim out the wreath with a scissors. Use a craft knife to cut out the center of the wreath. Use a black marker to color the edges inside and outside of the wreath.
- Color the wreath using watercolor paints. Use two colors on each wreath and blend together with water.
- On a 3/4"x 4 1/2" strip of white cardstock stamp the Thank You message with black ink. Score two lines on each side of the message 1/4" apart. Zigzag fold on score lines and trim banner tails using a scissors.
- On a 4"x 5 1/4" piece of white cardstock swipe gold ink directly from pad to create a streaky background. Use gold ink pad to ink the edges of this piece as well as the sentiment banner.
- Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4 1/4"x 11" and fold in half to create a top folding card base. Adhere gold-inked panel to card base.
- Use foam adhesive to adhere wreath and banner message.
- Embellish card with a scattering of gold sequins using micro glue dots.
JOANN HACKS:
- When masking images for stamping, start your stamping with the image that you want to appear on top. Place your masks over those images & continue stamping. When you remove the masks you will see that the images you stamped last appear to be layered behind the first images.
