To Blackout or not, that’s the question? This product is satisfactory when considering a blackout lining. It doesn’t provide the complete “bIackout” feature I was hoping for but it did give a good lining to the drapery panel, it was just not a blackout affect.
I was buying it to finish off a project that only had enough material to line one of two drapery panels. Unfortunately this Thermafoam blackout liner wasn’t as light dampening as the other product purchased, so the panels don’t match. This product would work well to enhance room darkening in very thick materials or in light panels that are decorative coverings over other window treatment such as roller shades, blinds, etc…

Thermafoam blackout fabricGreat, solid material, and it was so easy to work with! It really made a difference in repairing the RV curtain to improve temperature control, and increased sleep quality by making it much darker inside!

Not 100% BlackoutI'm making 4 curtain panels and finished one panel and hung next to a curtain that is blackout, this is when I learned it is not a true blackout fabric. Now my decision is to re-buy a true blackout fabric and remake the one curtain and complete the others.

RV Drapery Lining ProjectBought the thermoform ivory drapery to make drapery for the RV. I combined the lining with a favorite flannel pattern found at Joann's. It was easy and made the difference for a backing / liner to keep not only the light out, but also help insulate too.

Blackout hardlyThe fabric is a good quality but it is not a true black out. It’s may be 25% blackout if that. I will have to double the fabric to have some blackout effect. If you are interested in this fabric it is just a backing and not blackout.
